At long last, I find myself back in Greenville, awaiting the beginning of my first (and last) interterm class. One class for three hours a day, five days a week for three weeks…fun. Fun fun fun. Especially when the class is “Income Tax Theory”.

Fun evening with Daniel, Zach, Betsye and Allyson. Group dinner, then watched Firefly and The IT Crowd. I hope we can host movie/tele nights more often this semester!

I don’t know why I was thinking that the bubonic plague was not that bad…

So being sick? Not a whole lot of fun. Not what I wanted to be doing on my Christmas break.  Ohhhh well…at least it’s an excuse to get some reading done.  I’m about 150 pages into “Christian Attitudes on War, Peace, and Revolution” and I’m really enjoying it so far.

Because, you know, all of you were so concerned.

It’s funny how quickly sickness can set in. On Friday, I was as fit as the proverbial fiddle; today, I’ve struggled to breathe, taste anything, and speak coherently. Peppermint, Sudafed, chicken-bouillon-based products and sleep have been my only solace, and quite frankly they ain’t gettin’ it done. I slept through church this morning, but I tried to make up for it by reading John Howard Yoder…which made me feel a bit less of a heathen.

Bought tickets to see Owl City in Chicago on the 30th of April today…I’m way more excited than any heterosexual male has any right to be!

The Inaugural Post

This seems a momentous occasion: my first real blog post, on my first real blog.

And now that’s over with.

And I think that’s it for my inaugural post! Hopefully at a more reasonable hour I’ll manage to find something with a bit more substance to waffle on about.
